Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
I welcome you to the webpage of Congruity Presbytery Church. One of the questions that is often asked is how did the church get the name “Congruity”. One of the stories says that when this congregation was being formed in the 1780’s that there were people from what is now Delmont and New Alexandria and the site where the church is located was an equal distances from each of those communities. The dictionary defines “congruity” as being “a point of agreement”. I like that definition because the one point of agreement for all of us is our faith in Jesus Christ! We may have differences of opinion of many of the societal issues, we may disagree about wall colors, we may disagree about politics and the list could go on-but the thing that brings us together is Jesus Christ and his love.
Our website provides information of the various activities that happen here at our church and I would extend an invitation to you to come and visit us and journey with us as we endeavor to be Christ’s disciples at work in the world today.
